Pleurotus djamor, known as the pink oyster, can be found in tropical and subtropical environments. 
Like most oyster mushrooms, it is incredibly nutrient dense and is being studied for its medicinal benefits. 
It is rich in polysaccharides, which the body uses as a primary energy source, as well as proteins, peptides, lipids and many others. This makes it a great mushroom to include in any diet!

Growing conditions
Pleurotus djamor grows in a fan-like shape and has a pink color that will fade to beige as it ages. 
To experience the full flavor of this mushroom, it should be harvested when it is still pink. 
Like other oyster mushrooms, Pink oyster grows well on many different substrates. 
It can be cultivated on straw, paper, wood, grains etc with a temperature between 65 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
 It does require some light to grow and does well in bags. It colonizes very fast, making it a great mushroom to grow!
