Several studies are now showing that they lower cholesterol due to the presence of statins and lovastatins.

Blue Oysters grow in clusters and take on a shelf like shape.
It has white stems with deep blue caps that turn grey as they age.
Like many mushrooms, it should be picked young for consumption as it becomes tougher as it ages and its taste
and smell deteriorate.
Pleurotus Columbinus is known to be fairly easy to grow
as long as it has plenty of fresh air flow.
It can grow on dead wood, straw, grass, cotton, cacti, hemp, coffee waste, paper products amongst other things, making it
a great way to turn your compost into a mushroom growing substrate.
It is also a carnivorous mushroom, consuming nematodes which tend to be a threat to other mushrooms.

Buy White Oyster Mushroom Growing Kit What are White Oyster Mushrooms? White oyster mushroom is an easily cultivated mushroom appropriate for beginners, because of its vigorous mycelium growth. The mushroom can efficiently compete with other fungi while growing on a substrate and is thus resistant to molds. Caps of the white oyster mushroom are milky white with a silky surface and can grow up to a couple of 10 cm in diameter. For the cultivation of white oyster mushroom, wood can be inoculated either with grain spawn.  The mushroom is considered as rapidly growing and extremely aggressive fungus. If inoculation is carried out early in the spring and wood is left in a warm and shaded place, mushrooms are expected to grow late in the autumn. Usually, mushrooms start growing when the environment temperature drops, and precipitations are more frequent (most often during the fall). Cultivation on wood is most successful when carried out outdoors, where the spawn h...

Buy Kuehneromyces mutabilis-sheathed woodtuft-mushrooms

About the product Kuehneromyces mutabilis (synonym: Pholiota mutabilis), commonly known as the sheathed woodtuft, is an edible mushroom that grows in clumps on tree stumps or other dead wood.  A few other species have been described in the genus Kuehneromyces, but K. mutabilis is by far the most common and best known. The clustered shiny convex caps are 6–8 cm in diameter. They are very hygrophanous; in a damp state they are shiny and greasy with a deep orange-brown colour towards the rim; often there is a disc of lighter (less sodden) flesh in the middle. In a dry state they are cinnamon-coloured. The gills are initially light and later cinnamon brown, and are sometimes somewhat decurrent (running down the stem). The stipe is 8–10 cm long by about 0.5–1 cm in diameter with a ring which separates the bare, smooth light cinnamon upper part from the darker brown shaggily scaly lower part. This type of stem is sometimes described as "booted". This species alway...
